Trunk or Line Side Monitoring

Trunk or line side logging allows companies the ability to record all conversations always or on demand.
If "on-demand", users can press "*#" plus the extension number (insert number) at any time prior to hanging up their set. Once the system gets the *#EXT code it will start recording and stop when the call is terminated. The system will log all conversations and tones generated during that session. Administrators can use the EXT to sort conversations by user.

Cost Effective
The line or trunk side solution is less expensive than station side recording as you only need to install one call recording port for each line/trunk the administrator wants to Tap. VoiceGate records conversations in Analog, Radio, T1, T1 PRI or E1 interfaces in this configuration.

Digital Line Tap

Station Side Recording is usually performed by emulating a proprietary digital set of the phone system and connecting in parallel off of the extension in the phone room. One port off of the call logger is required for each extension that is to have the recording feature.

Up to 128 ports can be housed in a single chassis. The advantage of station side recording is it supports a networked capability that allows users to record conversations by a click of their mouse. When the call is terminated, the desktop screen pops allowing the user to enter comments and the name(s) of the person(s) with whom they just had a conversation. This information is archived with the conversation for a more detailed history of the session in question.

Administrators can now sort archived conversations by date, time, user name, extension, comment or name entered in the comment field of the Client software.

Users can have all conversations recorded by default or they can choose to record "on the fly" when they feel necessary.

Desktop searches by Day, Time, Name or comment are easy to define and easier to identify conversations by complex search criteria.

Now you have set your search criteria, simply click the "display report" icon and all recorded calls satisfying your search parameters are displayed in an easy to read and understand format.
